Regarding the article "City Plans Partial Ban for Bikes on 3 Avenues"[July 23]: I work in New York City and have almost been hit a dozen timesby bike messengers and I am still opposed to the ban. These people relyon bicycles for a living. Time is a crucial factor and to be diverted awayfrom these avenues is unfair and unconstitutional. The article stated thatthis proposal has never been tried in any other city in the United States. This is true only becausethe proposal is so ridiculous. What's next, wheelchairs?
